I'm Casey Luciano—a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, chronic multi-book reader, plant enthusiast with an ever-growing jungle, and the proud human to a house that's arguably run by rescue cats.

I help people navigate some of life's biggest plot twists: infertility, miscarriage, pregnancy and infant loss, reproductive trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, and the uncomfortable realization that adulthood didn't come with an instruction manual. I also work with couples who want to reconnect, communicate differently, or simply stop having the same argument on repeat.

My own story includes infertility, endometriosis, a hysterectomy in 2024, and the heartbreak of first-trimester pregnancy loss. Those experiences changed me—not because they made me an expert in someone else's pain, but because they taught me what it feels like when life refuses to follow the plan you spent years believing in. They also taught me that healing isn't about "getting over it." It's about learning how to carry your story without letting it carry you.

Therapy with me isn't about sitting across from someone who nods silently while you do all the work. I believe in showing up as a real human. I'll ask thoughtful questions, gently challenge the narratives that are keeping you stuck, celebrate your wins, sit with you in the hard moments, and occasionally laugh with you (because sometimes the most healing thing you can do is admit that this season of life is objectively a little ridiculous.)

My approach combines person-centered therapy, attachment theory, psychodynamic therapy, and Gottman Method techniques to create therapy that is collaborative, evidence-informed, and tailored to you. Whether you're seeking support for infertility, pregnancy loss, reproductive trauma, perinatal mental health, anxiety, grief, relationship concerns, or a major life transition, my goal is to help you feel understood while building practical tools for lasting change.

Unapologetic Counseling & Wellness was built on one simple idea: you shouldn't have to edit your story before bringing it into the therapy room.

So come exactly as you are—messy, grieving, anxious, hopeful, overwhelmed, angry, or somewhere in the weird space where all of those exist at once. We'll make sense of it together. No pretending. No perfect answers. Just honest conversations, meaningful healing, and the reminder that two things really can be true at the same time.
My Story
Education, Training, & Clinical Approach (And Why It Matters)
My clinical work is grounded in evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and a genuine belief that therapists should never stop learning. I regularly pursue advanced training to better support individuals and couples navigating infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, reproductive trauma, grief, anxiety, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
Because research continues to evolve, I remain committed to continuing education and expanding my knowledge so I can provide thoughtful, ethical, and evidence-informed care to every client I work with.
