UNAPOLOGETIC COUNSELING & WELLNESS
The Unapologetic November Update
A new look, a few updates, and a little breathing room before the holiday rush.
November is here. Somehow. Let's talk about it. We’ve officially reached the time of year when “let’s get something on the calendar” feels less like an invitation and more like a scheduling challenge. Between everyday responsibilities, holiday planning, and the realization that 2027 is just around the corner, there’s a lot to juggle—and only so many squares on the calendar.
So grab your coffee (current clients—you all know I’m on my second latte of the day as I write this. IYKYK) and settle in for a little update from Unapologetic Counseling & Wellness.
This month, we’re starting with a November check-in and a reminder that your needs still deserve a spot on that increasingly crowded calendar. Then, I’m sharing a welcome for new clients and a preview of updated practice policies coming in January for current clients. Finally, I’m exploring a possible grief intensive—an opportunity for more dedicated time and space to work through loss—and I’d love your input.
Branding Update ✨
SAME UNAPOLOGETIC ENERGY. NEW LOOK.
A New Logo & Updated Branding

Unapologetic Counseling & Wellness has a new logo and updated branding thanks to the Kutztown Small Business Development Center! If you are subscribed to this newsletter, you are seeing it before everyone else. Surprise! I’m excited to share a look that reflects the warmth, personality, and space to be human that I want this practice to offer. At the heart of it all is the same invitation: show up as yourself, without apologizing for being you.
BEFORE YOUR CALENDAR GETS ANY LOUDER…
A November Check-In
Before agreeing to one more dinner, event, favor, or “quick thing,” take a second to ask: • Do I actually want to do this? • Do I have the time, energy, and budget? • Would a smaller commitment work better? • Am I leaving any room for myself? Your answer might be yes. It might be no. It might be, “I can come, but I’m leaving after dessert.” All useful information. And if you need a little time to decide, “Let me check and get back to you” is available to you. No elaborate explanation required.
A Little Space on the Calendar. A Little Space for You.
I’m currently welcoming new individual and couples therapy clients.
You don’t have to wait until life reaches “everything is on fire” status to reach out. Therapy can be a place to work through something painful, navigate a change, or finally give some attention to what’s been taking up space in the back of your mind. You know, the mental tab that never quite closes.
You’re welcome to start with “I don’t even know where to begin.” We can work with that. There’s no perfectly prepared version of yourself you need to bring—just you, as you are.
A LITTLE JANUARY HEADS-UP FOR CURRENT CLIENTS 📋
Updated Practice Policies Coming in 2027
I’m updating the practice policies to make expectations around scheduling, communication, fees, and care easier to understand. I know paperwork probably isn’t the most exciting part of your inbox. But knowing what to expect matters, and I want you to have time to review the updates before they take effect in January 2027. Not every policy applies to every client. We can talk through which sections are relevant to your care and any questions you have. Updated documents will be shared before they take effect, with any needed review or acknowledgment instructions. Please be on the lookout for a practice wide announcement and paperwork sent through the client portal.
What If Your Grief Had a Little More Space?
Grief doesn’t exactly check your calendar before showing up. And sometimes, once you’ve settled into a therapy session and started getting into the hard stuff, it’s already time to wrap up. I’m exploring the possibility of offering a grief intensive, and I’d love to hear if that’s something you’d be interested in. A grief intensive would offer an extended therapy format with more dedicated time to explore your loss, make room for what you’re carrying, and identify support that fits your life. The goal wouldn’t be to rush your grief or fit healing into a deadline. It would be to give you more room to work at your own pace. The details are still taking shape, and your feedback would help me understand whether this offering would meet a need in our community. Curious? Reply to this newsletter to let me know—and feel free to share what you’d want to know or what would make this feel helpful. Expressing interest comes with no commitment.

Thanksgiving Out-of-Office Notice
I’ll be out of the office Thursday, November 26, and Friday, November 27, for Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
All other office hours will remain the same this month.
If you need to adjust an appointment or have a question before the holiday, please reach out through the client portal ahead of time. I’ll respond to messages received during the closure when I’m back in the office.
Whether your plans involve a full house, a quiet day, or strategically avoiding conversations over mashed potatoes, I hope you find a little room to breathe. 😂
One last thing before I go… You don’t have to spend the last two months of the year catching up to an imaginary version of where you thought you’d be. You're allowed to enter January with a few things still unfinished.
See you soon! Casey Luciano, LAMFT, PMH-C Unapologetic Counseling & Wellness
