Next Steps
Send a brief message through the contact form or email. You don't need to have all the answers right now—just a desire for change.
We'll schedule a first contact to discuss your goals and needs. This is a low-pressure way to see if I am a good fit for your therapeutic journey.
If it feels right, we move on to scheduling. I'll handle the logistics so we can focus on the work ahead.
Collaborative, Trauma-Informed Care
The Unapologetic Approach
My work is deeply rooted in attachment theory and Gottman-informed methods, ensuring a trauma-informed lens for every session. We look at how your past influences your present while providing practical tools for today.
Session Pacing
We honor your unique pace. Therapy isn't about rushing toward a 'fix,' but about creating a sustainable rhythm of healing where you feel safe enough to explore the complex parts of your journey.
What Therapy Is and Isn't
Therapy is a collaborative partnership and a courageous exploration of self; it isn't a passive experience or a one-size-fits-all solution. It is a dedicated space for your truth to be heard without judgment.
Fees & Accessibility
Unapologetic Counseling & Wellness operates as a private pay practice. This model allows us to prioritize your clinical needs, privacy, and the specialized, trauma-informed care you deserve without the constraints often imposed by insurance providers.
I believe in full transparency around the costs of care. While specific rates vary based on the depth and type of service, we will discuss all fees during our initial consultation so there are never any surprises. Investing in your well-being is a significant step, and I honor that commitment.
Standard Session: 50 minutes
Extended Session: 80 minutes or more.
Accessibility is a core value of this practice. I offer in-person sessions in the Reading, PA area and through telehealth. By offering virtual care across Pennsylvania, we eliminate travel barriers and provide therapy in the comfort and safety of your own space. Flexible scheduling options are available to help fit this essential work into your actual life.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is therapy right for me now?
If you are feeling overwhelmed, navigating a transition, or simply sense that things could feel different, therapy can provide a valuable space to reflect and heal. You don't need to be in a crisis to benefit from professional support.
Do you work with couples in crisis?
Yes. I specialize in helping couples navigate significant strain and disconnection using Gottman-informed and attachment-based approaches. We work to identify patterns and find a path toward reconnection or clarity.
What if my partner isn’t sure yet?
It is common for one partner to feel more ready for therapy than the other. We can start with a consultation to address any hesitations and explore how therapy might benefit the relationship at a pace that feels safe for both partners.
How long does therapy last?
The duration of therapy is deeply personal and depends on your goals. Some clients find clarity in a few months, while others prefer longer-term support. We will check in regularly to ensure the work remains meaningful for you.
What if I’ve had a hard experience in therapy before?
I honor that previous experiences can make re-entering therapy feel vulnerable. My approach is trauma-informed and centered on safety and trust. We will go at your pace, and your comfort is always a priority.
You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out
Whether you have a specific goal in mind or just a feeling that something needs to change, you are welcome to reach out. We can explore your needs together in a brief, low-pressure consultation. There’s no requirement to have all the answers before we begin the conversation.
